Pressure Cells
Pressure cells are designed to measure total pressure in earth fills and embankments as well as at soil and structure interfaces such as tunnel liners or pile tips. All our pressure cells consist of two stainless steel plates welded at the edges with de-aired oil solution filling the small cavity between. Changing pressures result in a corresponding change in fluid pressure inside the cell which is detected by a transducer.
