Strain gauges

Strain gauges are designed to measure small deformations in materials due to changes in loading condition. Depending on the material of interest they can be welded onto steel, embedded in concrete as well as epoxied to timber and plastics. These sensors are available based on vibrating wire or Wheatstone bridge technologies and can be used in both dynamic and static monitoring applications.
