Over the last years, GKM Consultants provided and installed a large scale wireless rugged monitoring system with various instruments, including thermistor strings, piezometers, inclinometers and TDR at the Agnico-Eagle Mine - Meadowbank mining site
The setup includes over 40 data acquisition monitoring stations, that take measurements from over 170 instruments.
This system deployed on the various dikes allows remote access to the data on a visualised platform, which includes frost depth penetration, pore water pressure, slope stability, and general movement of the structure.
