Noise and vibration management program during recomissioning work | Rosemont Reservoir

As part of the project to restore the 227,000 m3 Rosemont reservoir, POMERLEAU commissioned GKM Consultants to prepare the noise and vibration management program and ensure the follow-up throughout the project. An estimate of the anticipated vibration levels was conducted and recommendations on maximum allowable blasting loads were provided. Thanks to the monitoring system implemented, composed of seismographs and a CUBE sound level meter, vibration levels at the existing reservoir and noise levels at College Rosemont could be monitored at all times during the work. Equipped with an embedded web server, the Cube, one of the models in the 01dB sound level meter suite, provides real-time access to data and simplified alarm management.
